Matchbox Lesney 14 b3 Daimler Ambulance Repro B Style Box

An empty reproduction replacement Matchbox Lesney 14 b Daimler Ambulance Repro B Style Box.

This model has 3 variations in the B style box with the first being the same as the 14a artwork but extended with bands of blue on either side on the main face to cater for the increased size of the Daimler model from the 14a 48mm to 14b 54mm. A subsequent issue of the box expanded the yellow background to the full width of the main face, while a 3rd issue changed the artwork to have red ink infill in the ambulance image. This image artwork was then carried through to the C style box issue.

The B style boxes featured all of the 1 to 75 model range with “Moko Lesney” in block text in the main face scroll.
