An empty reproduction replacement box for a Matchbox Lesney 8 a2 Caterpillar Tractor in a B Style.

This Matchbox Lesney reproduction box is for the earliest issue of the #8a.  There were 2 different images provided for the 8a. This later 8a2 box will have the light or darker yellow variants. The earlier 8a1 box probably suits the early orange model / driver and the yellow with red driver.

The Caterpillar Tractor models:

• 8a:  1 1/2″ Long – short tracks – small box – 2 different images
• 8b: 1 5/8″ Long – short tracks – larger box – yellow with driver
• 8c: 1 7/8″ Long – long tracks – larger box – 1 image issued as both B & C style boxes – no driver
• 8d: 2″ Long – long tracks – larger box – D style colour box – no driver
