USA Tariffs Impact

For our USA-based customers the new import tariffs will impact all deliveries from RecoverToy to the USA from 29th August 2025.

In brief the changes are two-fold:

• First our items are of low value and have always been under the US$800 duty-free limit. That duty-free limit is being removed. This means that all imports will be assessed for duty regardless of the value of the goods.
• Second, with the Tariff changes, all imports to the USA from Australia will now have a 10% tariff levied. We do note that our products all fall under the Harmonized System (HS) code of 9503.00.00 (USA category) which is still stated as ‘Free’ so there is no product specific duty charged, just the general ‘all goods’ tariff.

We cannot predict what will occur, but our experience with similar processes for our European customers suggests that the following issues may arise for our USA-based customers.

• You can expect to be asked for payment of the tariff / import duty, most likely at your local Post Office.
• You are the importer of the items and are responsible for paying the import duty. This is not something that we pay.
• You should expect delays in deliveries as the US Customs Service will be inspecting a much greater number of imported parcels and this is likely to create delays.
• We always provide a tracking number for the small packets which will be in the USPS system once cleared from Customs. You can use that number to request updates from USPS.
